For Libraries

Below are the information you need to join the Quest and the resources you should need to run the Summer Reading Quest

Benefits for Public Libraries

Promote Reading over Summer

Summer Holidays are a long time away from school and while we all love evenings at the beach and movies during the day, it’s great to be able to promote and encourage reading over Summer to keep those lifelong skills ticking along.

A program for libraries by libraries

Summer Reading Quest is designed by WA Libraries for WA Libraries (and adventurous kids of course). We see SRQ as a way to shine a light on your library and use it as a way to promote everything else you do (we know it’s a lot!)

Provide an easy and effective program.

You can run Summer Reading Quest as big or small as you’d like. All the key collateral, base incentives, and state prizes are provided by the SRQ team. We encourage you to add to the program and tailor it to your community but SRQ is a program ready to go for the Summer.

State Support and Recognition

Sure, we’re a pilot at the moment but we’re just going to get bigger and bigger! Why run your own summer reward program when you can be part of something families will recognise every year? Plus, we’ve got you: troubleshooting, support, promotion schedules - it’s all there. All you gotta do is register.

To Register…

  1. Read the Commitment Document to find out what SRQ provides to you and we need in return.

  2. Email summerreadingquestwa@gmail.com with the following information.

  • Name of Local Government

  • Name of library branches participating

  • Best contact person’s name, email and phone number
